Wasted food costs our industry £3.2 billion a year, and 75% of the food wasted could have been eaten.

Food waste recycling creates energy... So join us to rise up against food waste. 100% reused. All of our waste is processed off-site and is either recycled or converted into energy.

Future 50 Salads

The future 50 foods identify 50 plant-based foods that can increase dietary nutritional value and reduce environmental impacts of the food supply. The focus is plant-based as animal-based foods have a more significant effect on the environment. Taking steps to incorporate more plant-based meals into people’s diet can have a favourable outcome for both customers and the planet.

Gold Stars All Round

We’re very proud to have retained the maximum 3-star Food Made Good rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA). In 2018 CH&CO became the most diverse contract caterer to achieve the rating and since then we have increased our score from 70 to 74%.

The Food Made Good Rating is the world’s largest and most comprehensive measure of sustainability in food service, that shows our customers we’re passionate about serving great quality food in a way that doesn’t cost the earth. The rating is based on a holistic assessment of our business, covering 10 focus areas that consider society, sourcing, and environmental practices.
